Service Program Overview

At Friends Community Center we have programs that are open or closed at any given time. Here you will be able to see some of the current OPEN programs  at our facility in Hollywood.

The G.U.Y.S. Program (Guys Understanding Your Situation)

Enrollment: Open - Program participants are gay men, or non-gay identified men who have sex with men, women, and/or transgenders and who are active substance users; many are in a marginal or transitional living situation.

Enrollment: Open - Program participants are transgender women at any stage of gender transition; many are in a marginal or transitional living situation.

Friends Getting Off

Enrollment: Open - Program participants are gay men, or non-gay identified men who have sex with men, women, and/or transgenders and who are active substance users; many are in a marginal or transitional living situation.

A.S.K.-PrEP: Assistance, Services, Knowledge - PrEP

Enrollment: Open - Program works with HIV-negative transgender women and men who have sex with men to link participants into PrEP medical services.

Social Network HIV Counseling and Testing Program

Enrollment: Open - Those seeking an HIV test must be identified and recruited by a peer health advocate.  Friends Community Center is not a drop-in HIV testing facility.

Enrollment: Open - Street and venue-based outreach is conducted nightly in West Hollywood.
